Sometimes they make it hard.We have lots of Allegro customers, and perhaps one of them will read your message and know the specific answer. But in the meantime, I have some advice. Your chassis came equipped with the plug, but it shipped to Tiffin in a big bundle. Whoever cut the ties on thaat bundle and wired up the dash might well have had no idea what that plug was for, and let it get buried. Usually you can find it by tracing the dash wires back to the main bulkhead connector, then looking in that big bundle of wires for the data wires - they will be a twisted pair. Then follow those wires to the plug. Often the problem is figuring out how to get your head in there to search. If your dash cover can come off, pull it up and you'll have a much better view. Some coaches have covers in place to keep you from seeing (and snagging) the wires forward of the pedals. Look behind that panel. While you are down there, look also for a rectangular 12-pin plug (two rows of six) that also has a dust cap. This will be the Allison diagnostic plug. We don't have a harness that directly plugs into that connector (the design is proprietary to Allison), but the wires that go into that plug are the same as those for the engine. If worse comes to worst, you can hardwire the harness right behind that plug. By Martin Perlot at Wed, 2007-04-11 08:01 | login to post comments
Prior to getting our 2007Prior to getting our 2007 Alllegro Bus 42QRP we had a 2004 Allegro Bus 40DP. It served us very well for 3 seasons and was loaded with a number of options and unique features and was a big upgrade from our 2003 Suncruiser. It was the 40DP floor plan with NASA exterior and Cherry interior along with having latest tv and was on a Freightliner XC chassis with a 400 HP Cummins ISL, putting out 1,200 ft-lbs of torque. Thanks... By flemingsteve at Tue, 2009-08-11 05:03 | login to post comments

Re:2004 Allegro Bus by Tiffin with a Cummins engine.
Yes it will.
If you have a 3000 or 4000 Series Allison Transmission, we can get data from it too.
You will need to find the Diagnostic Plug for the Engine/Transmission and count the number of Pin Positions in it, so we can send you the correct one.
The Diagnostic Plug will be Round, about 1 3/8" in diameter and have 6 or 9 Pin Positions. Not all of the Pin Positions may have a Terminal in it, and that is OK.
