Here's a Great Example of One Man's VMSpc

Here's an excellent example of how one man, Scott Hicks, has set up VMSpc to work alongside DeLorme on a 2003 Tradewinds. Click here for the details.

Scott's using a Jotto Desk to hold the laptop in place. He has the details laid out - along with better pictures - on his personal site (www.scotthicks.com).

Please direct any technical or sales questions to SilverLeaf Electronics, and not Mr. Hicks. You may post your questions on our VMSpc Forum or e-mail us here.

Welcome to Our New Website

A few tips for using our site.

On this site, every page is "dynamic". Our web site consists of hundreds of mini-pages, and the server merely displays the items it thinks you'll be most interested in. You can access items by either selecting them from the menus on the top and sides, by using the search box, or by clicking on any of the terms you see at the end of an item (like "VMS 240 CL").

The server will dutifully deliver the items that you ask for. However, to save space it will often display only the first paragraph or so of each item - the "teaser". Click on the item title and it will display the rest.

Standard VMS Features

The VMS design is unique because it's expandable. Accessories can be added to the VMS at any time, and even your software can be upgraded without removing the VMS from your dash. SilverLeaf is constantly developing new accessories to add to your VMS, and many other manufacturers are providing products as well.

TireSafeGuard

SilverLeaf is proud to offer the world's best tire pressure monitoring for every VMS model. TireSafeGuard and SilverLeaf have put together what is certainly the ultimate tire pressure monitoring system, and the system is ready to install.

The system starts with TireSafeGuard’s sensors, which detect both the temperature and the pressure of each tire. The sensors mount inside the tire, fastened to the rim with what is essentially a large hose clamp. The sensors report the actual temperature and pressure whenever it changes, or when the vehicle is moving. The signals are picked up by a receiver which can use multiple antennae to cover even the largest coach and the tow car. The receiver is connected to SilverLeaf’s interface manager, which correlates the tires to their locations and reports to the VMS display in the dash.

Total Coach

SilverLeaf has long been providing "one-stop shopping" for all the engine and chassis information that a coach owner could desire. Now we're also offering the same sort of intelligent integration for the rest of the coach. Our Total Coach™ System ties together the Inverter, Generator, Transfer Switch, Tank Levels, and much more to provide a smart, simple way to automate, monitor, and control your coach.

The center of the system is the Total Coach Monitor. This graphic control panel can be compared to an extra-large VMS for the galley. It provides instant indicators of the status of every system, and detailed information is never more than a keystroke away. In fact, a single touch of the screen will start or stop the generator, inverter, water pump, or any other device that is part of the system. It is simple and very convenient.

The Total Coach System is modular, and SilverLeaf customizes the system for each RV manufacturer. The Total Coach System is also appropriate for bus conversions and major coach upgrades.

VMS 440 CL

Quite simply, the most amazing VMS yet. Get the full suite of gauges and features in brilliant color - and a lot more besides. The VMS 440 CL also is a digital video monitor, and it can combine video and VMS information in extraordinarily useful ways.

VMS 440 for web.jpg

Like all the VMS products, the VMS 440 CL displays all your temperatures and pressures, performance information, trip information, and diagnostics. But it uses a gorgeous full-color display - the brightest of its kind - to enhance its utility. Imagine all the many screens and gauges of the VMS 320 EL - but now brilliantly rendered in your choice of palette.

But that is just the beginning. The VMS 440 CL also contains a powerful digital video processor that allows it to take any type of video input - from a GPS or camera, for example - and size it, scale it, and place it anywhere on the screen. It can instantly switch from a full-screen view to a windowed view - and it can display VMS data at the same time.

The VMS 440 CL can accept up to four video inputs, and switch between them either automatically or at a touch of a button. Each input is separately adjusted for perfect hue and contrast. This opens up a whole new world of options for your dash.

Problem: You want a VMS, but you wanted mounted in the dash and there is no room.
Solution: If you have a conventional video monitor, replace it with the VMS 440 CL. The VMS 440 CL is compatible with almost all cameras, and you can still watch your tow car which watching your VMS gauges.

Problem: You want to be able to watch your GPS, tow car, and VMS at the same time.
Solution: Use the VMS 440 to monitor either the GPS or the rear camera. This is particularly effective with the rear camera - a small window in the VMS 440 CL is ample to show the tow car and the cars in the adjacent lanes.

Problem: You want two cameras in one monitor.
Solution: The VMS 440 can be programmed to automatically switch from one camera to the other every few seconds, or a touch of a button switches the image. It can also automatically go to the full screen mode when the coach is put in reverse - perfect for your rear camera. And each camera signal is independently adjusted for brightness, saturation, and hue, so the image always looks great.

Like all VMS displays, the VMS 440 CL provides all the accurate readings from the engine and transmission, including the plain-language diagnostics, performance gauges, trip information, maintenance tracking, and more. It supports all our accessories, and is just as easy to install.
